Volunteering
RADICLE welcomes and encourages individuals and groups who wish to volunteer their time and skills to our work. We have opportunities for volunteers in a variety of RADICLE’s services across London. Recently volunteers have:
- painted and refurbished rooms to provide a comfortable, welcoming home for a young homeless woman
- tidied gardens so the young mothers and their babies have a child friendly space outside where they can relax and get fresh air
- fundraised for 40 older people to have a hugely enjoyable day trip to the seaside.
If you would like to volunteer for RADICLE please email or call Shoaban Nair: snair@radicle.org or 020 8747 2458.
Case history
In 2009 a team of volunteers from Real Estate company PruPim spent a day clearing out cupboards at RADICLE’s residential scheme in Whitechapel for homeless mothers and their babies. They worked tirelessly and sent a lorry load of unwanted and broken items to a recycling centre. At the end of the day they were still smiling and the whole place was tidier and cleaner.
